Getting Started
How do I know if therapy is covered by insurance?
We are Medicare-enrolled and can bill Medicare directly. For commercial insurance, we are out-of-network but provide superbills for self-submission upon request. Flexible payment options are available. Contact us to discuss arrangements that support your access to care.
How do I schedule an evaluation?
Fill out the form or contact us by phone or email. We’ll review your goals, needs, and insurance options, then schedule a personalized initial evaluation to create your individualized plan of care.
What should I expect at my first session?
The initial evaluation includes a review of your strengths, challenges, and environment. We may perform manual muscle testing, objective functional assessments, and observations of daily routines. You will leave with a tangible plan and exercises to start making progress immediately.
What if I need to cancel a session?
Life happens! We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule. Clear communication helps ensure continuity of care and protects your scheduled time.

Pediatric occupational therapy supports children with fine motor skills (handwriting, cutting, drawing), sensory processing, and executive functioning skills like attention, organization, problem solving. How long will my child need therapy?
Duration depends on goals, progress, and individual needs. Some children benefit from a short series of sessions, while others require ongoing support to maintain and generalize skills.
Is there a long wait to start therapy?
No — we try our best to offer prompt scheduling with no long waiting lists so your child can begin therapy as soon as possible. Early intervention and timely support can make a meaningful difference in outcomes.

What is a Certified Hand Therapist and why does it matter?
A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an occupational or physical therapist who has completed a minimum of three years of clinical experience and 4,000 hours of direct hand therapy practice and passed a rigorous national certification examination. Fewer than 7,000 clinicians in the United States hold this credential. Seeing a CHT means your care is delivered by a clinician with the highest level of recognized specialization in upper extremity rehabilitation, from the shoulder to the fingertips.
What conditions do you treat at the clinic?
We treat a full range of shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, traumatic injuries, complex nerve injuries, repetitive strain conditions, and chronic pain cases. About Dysgraphia and Pediatric Handwriting
What is dysgraphia?
Dysgraphia is a neurological learning difference that affects a person's ability to produce written language. It is not a reflection of intelligence; many children with dysgraphia are bright, articulate, and creative. They struggle specifically with the physical and cognitive demands of writing, including letter formation, spacing, pencil grip, writing speed, and translating thoughts onto paper. Dysgraphia often goes unidentified for years because children find ways to compensate until the demands of school exceed their ability to compensate.
How do I know if my child needs a dysgraphia evaluation?
Common signs include messy or illegible handwriting despite effort, reversals, inconsistent letter formation, unusually slow writing speed, avoiding writing tasks, fatigue during writing, difficulty copying from the board, and a significant gap between a child's verbal ability and their written output. If your child's teacher has raised concerns about handwriting or written expression, or if you have noticed your child struggling, a comprehensive evaluation can provide answers and a clear plan forward.
What does a dysgraphia evaluation include?
Our comprehensive dysgraphia evaluation includes standardized assessments, clinical handwriting observations such as pencil grip and fine motor skills. A parent conference is included to review findings and next steps.
What is HWT and why does it matter?
Handwriting Without Tears is one of the most widely researched and clinically validated handwriting curricula available. As an HWT-certified specialist, My Mobile Therapists uses the complete multisensory HWT approach. This includes educational materials, evidence-based letter formation sequences to build foundational handwriting skills in a way that is engaging and developmentally appropriate for every child.
How is your dysgraphia evaluation different from what my child's school provides?
School-based OTs serve large caseloads within time-limited school sessions and are focused on educational access. Our private dysgraphia evaluation is a comprehensive one-on-one specialist assessment that goes deeper than a school evaluation: using multiple standardized tools, producing a detailed written report, and providing specific recommendations that directly supports academic success. We complement your school's team; we do not replace them.
Do you work with children who have IEPs?
Yes, our evaluation reports are written so that our findings can be referenced in school-based planning meetings. We are also available to consult with school teams for children we are actively treating.
For Teens: Skills for School and Life
How can OT help me succeed in school and daily life?
Therapy focuses on executive functioning, organization, time management, self-awareness, and perseverance. We perform an objective assessment of current goals and routines, and may incorporate social prescription elements and mental health-informed interventions to support well-being. This helps teens manage high-pressure academic environments, improve performance, and build confidence.
Will therapy interfere with my schedule?
No — mobile OT comes to your home, school, or community setting. Sessions are flexible and designed to fit your schedule while targeting real-life challenges.
For Adults: Orthopedic and Neurological OT
What conditions do you treat for adults?
We treat orthopedic and neurological conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand, including:
● Frozen shoulder/adhesive capsulitis
● Rotator cuff tears and repairs
● De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis
● Lateral or Medial Epicondylitis (Tennis or Golfer's Elbow)

What happens in an adult OT session?
Sessions are hands-on and highly practical. We may include:

Where is the clinic located?
My Mobile Therapists is now open at 83 Princeton Ave, Suite 2B in Hopewell, NJ 08525. The suite is ADA accessible with elevator access, convenient parking, and is located in Hopewell. We are currently accepting new patients for both hand upper extremity therapy and pediatric handwriting services.
What is available at the clinic that was not available before?
Our dedicated clinical suite includes professional exercise equipment, advanced assessment tools, custom splint and cast fabrication capability, and a fully equipped writing workshop for children. The clinic environment allows us to provide a significantly more comprehensive level of care than a home visit, with everything a patient needs under one roof in a single visit.
Do you still offer in-home therapy?
Yes, in-home occupational therapy remains available for selected patients. In-home visits are scheduled on select days based on clinical need and geographic availability. Contact us to discuss whether in-home services are appropriate for your situation.
Is the clinic ADA accessible?
